Remove the child from the parent's care
The Social Worker may agree with the family to place the child temporarily with a relative or foster parent for up to six months, called Voluntary Family Reunification Services. If a parent chooses to do this, s/he can terminate this placement at any time. If the parent chooses to stop participating in voluntary services, the Social Worker will reevaluate whether or not your child is safe with you and may recommend court involvement.
