Department of Aging and Adult Services
The Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) promotes an Age-friendly community for all residents of Santa Clara County. DAAS strives to ensure a safe and independent lifestyle for older adults, dependent adults, and the disabled.
Santa Clara County and all its cities have been designated as Age-friendly by the World Health Organization; the first county in the nation to do so. DAAS continually works toward expanding and supporting Age-friendly initiatives throughout the region.

Adult Protective Services provides services to prevent and remedy the abuse of older adults and dependent adults.
In-Home Supportive Services offers services in the home for Medi-Cal eligible older adults and dependent adults. Clients remain safe in their own homes and avoid the need for out-of-home care.
The Senior Nutrition Program serves hot meals to older adults in multiple locations throughout Santa Clara County.
The Seniors’ Agenda is a groundbreaking partnership between Santa Clara County, its 15 cities, and over 100 community-based organizations.
The Public Administrator/Guardian/Conservator ensures the safety of persons who cannot care for themselves and manages the estates of persons who die without a will or executor.
