Seniors' Agenda
In 2011, the Board of Supervisors set a goal to make Santa Clara County the most Age-Friendly county in the world by creating the Seniors' Agenda. This groundbreaking initiative has brought together partners from the county, its cities, and over 100 community-based organizations.
The county and all its 15 cities have been designated as Age-friendly by the World Health Organization; the first county in the nation to do so.
By 2030, over 25 percent of the population will be age 60 or older. The efforts of the Seniors' Agenda are helping prepare the Silicon Valley region for this dramatic shift.
