Allow the child to remain with the parents
Social Worker
Allow the child to remain with the parents
If it was determined that the situation not severe enough to remove the child or to refer the child to the Court, the parent(s) may be referred to either Voluntary Family Maintenance Services or Informal Supervision Services. A Social Worker will provide the family with services that are short-term [lasting no more than six (6) month]. Participating in these services is voluntary. The family will be asked to sign a voluntary services case plan and follow through with the plan. The Social Worker will work closely with the family to offer a variety of service options. If the family chooses to stop participating in voluntary services, the Social Worker will have to re-evaluate whether or not the child is safe at home and may refer the child to the Juvenile Dependency Court.
