Daniel Little joined SSA October 2017 as DFCS Assistant Director and transitioned to DFCS Acting Director February 2020
Daniel has experience in multiple states and child welfare systems across I both public as well as non-profit service Daniel’s numerous roles have included everything from case manager to director of training to a director of permanency. Daniel has a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology and Masters Degree in Social Work, both from Wichita State University
Daniel has always want to be part of system transformation and practice innovation in order to best serve the community. In Santa Clara County DFCS Daniel found a department with a rich history of innovation along with close ties to community stakeholders.
Daniel has a desire to continue to grow as a leader and wants to rethink child welfare as we currently know it.
