Sandy Stier is director of the Social Services Division of Technology Services and Solutions (TSS) Department at the County of Santa Clara.
Sandy joined the County in 2019 and is responsible for ensuring the technology needs of the Social Services Agency are met. She oversees a team of 70 TSS staff who provide expertise in all aspects of technical support.
Prior to joining the County, she served as the information systems director for Alameda County Health Care Services Agency, and as a senior advisor for Interoperability for the Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families during the Obama administration.
Sandy holds a Master of Public Administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, Calif., and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa.
