Mary Ann Warren joined the County of Santa Clara Social Services Agency – Department of Adult and Aging (DAAS) in February of 2019 as the Chief Deputy Public Guardian and was appointed Director of DAAS in January 2020. Prior to working in Santa Clara County, she served as a Program Director of the Office of the Public Guardian, Public Administrator, Public Conservator for the City and County of San Francisco.
Mary Ann has a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara and earned her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University.
Her personal mission is a commitment to consumer-focused and client-centered delivery of services so older adults and adults with disabilities can maintain the highest quality of life for as long as possible. Her professional goals include developing long-term strategic plans to accommodate the growing population to ensure all older adults and adults with disabilities have autonomy, access to services and quality of life.
