The California Fruit and Vegetable EBT Pilot Project, which officially launched in Santa Clara County in October 2023, refunds CalFresh Food recipients up to $60 a month when they buy fruits and vegetables from participating stores.

The County of Santa Clara and community partners celebrated the beginning of construction Friday of an ambitious mixed-use development that will provide a new home for the Hub, a community center for current and former foster youth, and create up to 81 units of affordable housing.

Express Lanes START will make the I-880 Express Lanes more affordable for Bay Area residents earning a low income. Drivers who meet eligibility requirements can apply and, if approved, will get at least 50% off all tolled trips in the I-880 Express Lanes using FasTrak®.
