The Santa Clara County Senior Nutrition Program cafés and dining sites are great places to eat and meet people.
The Senior Nutrition Program (SNP) partners with cities and community-based organizations to offer nutritious meals for people 60 and over at more than 37 locations across the County. All SNP meals are approved by Registered Dietitians to meet the U.S. Dietary Guidelines for Americans and provide 1/3 of the daily key nutrients for older adults.
Find a café or dining program near you by using the interactive map found below. It is a great way to get a good, nutritious meal, meet people, access resources/information, and participate in different physical activities. Guest meals are available for $8.00-$9.00 for those under 60 years. A contribution of $3.00 per meal is suggested, but no eligible participant will be denied a meal because of inability to contribute. These contributions support the growth of the program.
Benefits of the Senior Nutrition Program
Access to healthy meals can help delay the onset of adverse health conditions improving health and well-being for the older adult population. In addition, increased socialization is an evidence-based predictor of a healthy, happy, and high-quality life.
Our dining sites offer meals Monday-Sunday with ethnic, vegan, and vegetarian options (see map for locations, days of service, and cuisine offered). A variety of seasonal and new menu items are served weekly.
